In 1996, Patrick Frias y Soriano at 23, became the youngest Filipino Choirmaster and one of the youngest Choir Directors in the World to go International and to hone a World Class Choir. He has led various groups in international concert tours, winning awards and recognitions at music festivals, competitions and major concert halls in Europe, North America and Asia. Also, making many first in choir history: Voice of Manila – 2nd European Tour 2004. Mapua Institute of Technology Concert Singers – North American Tour 2003 (1st International Tour). Marian Choir of Cavite - North American Tour 2002 (2nd International Tour) and World Concert Tour 1996 (1st Asian Church Choir). San Beda College Chorale – World Concert Tour 2000 (1st Philippine Male Choir). Our Lady of the Pillar Seminary Foundation - Seminary Choir, North America 1998 (1st International Tour) and 1999 (2nd International Tour). He served as the youngest artistic committee member at the 1st Choir Olympics held in Linz, Austria in 2000, the biggest organized competition in choir history. |

In addition, he is Founder / Artistic Director of the Jesus Good Shepherd School Children’s Choir, St. Catherine’s Chorale of Sienna College, Quezon City, St. Augustine High School Glee Club – Mendez, HSBC Alabang Voices, DeLa Salle - College of St. Benilde Liturgical Choir, Voice of Manila. He has also conducted the Spare of Voices – Manila Pavilion Hotel Choir, College of the Holy Spirit - Fine Arts Choir (Champion, CHS - Choral Festival), PLDT SINGERS - Cavite Exchange (Luzon Champion 1999, PLDT Nationwide Tuklas Galing Contest), Department of Finance Chorale and Faculty Choir of the Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Manila. Mr. Frias has prepared choruses for leading orchestras such as the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and Manila Symphony Orchestra II.He is presently the Lay Coordinator and co-founder of Musicaviteño – Diocesan Ministry on Liturgical Music Inc. of the Diocese of Imus. In recognition to his contribution to the arts, he was awarded the 2001 General Licerio Topacio Outstanding Achievement Award in the field of Arts and Music by the Municipal Government of Imus, Cavite. As pianist, conductor and soloist, he has performed in Europe, United States of America, Canada, Mexico and Asia. |
